  • "The Heart of a Champion organization has been such a blessing to me personally as well as to our school, Bethel Springs Elementary. For several years, they have provided school and classroom grant opportunities that we have been able to take advantage of in order to improve our school. I have been a proud recipient of their classroom grants which allowed me to purchase new center materials for my first grade students as well as help furnish my classroom library. I am most thankful for their generosity as we worked to update our BSES playground! They went above and beyond to help us fund a wonderful new playground for all of our students and we were so thankful!"

  • "I've been blessed by Heart of a Champino in my classroom this year. I was looking to improve my "circle time" area by making it more inviting for my little Kinders! Thanks to Heart of a Champion, I was able to add new things like my new smiley rug that my students ADORE and that makes it even better!"

  • "Heart of a Champion is an amazing non-profit organization in our community that inspires and aids students to continue their education! Personally, my scholarship has been extremely helpful in order to pay for books, fees, and other supplies for college! It is truly amazing that we have an organization like this in our community that strives to support students! I am very grateful to be a Heart of a Champion Scholarship recipient and I encourage everyone to apply!"

  • "Heart of a Champion is such a blessing to teachers and students in McNairy County. The first year HOC gave out grants, I was a lucky winner! I was able to buy materials that cover five of the major standards that I am required to teach. These centers add the “fun” element in our reading block. The passages are interesting to the students and this helps them stay engaged. This past year (2023-2024), I was blessed to win another HOC grant! This grant was titled “ESCAPE Through Reading.” Thanks to this grant, I was able to purchase 11 Reading Escape Rooms to help students dig deeper and learn more about point of view, cause and effect, nouns, verbs, summarizing, inference, analyzing characters, basic grammar skills, and much, much more. HOC provides more than just money/grants. They are providing teachers with much needed supplies to help students reach their full potential. There is no way to thank HOC for what they are doing for our students!"
